Hello My name is Aruna Ramkalowon.  I am a qualified therapist since 2018 and MBACP Registered.
Anyone can experience difficulties in life and if you have issues that you want to explore confidentially, therapy is a safe space without judgement. Some issues can weigh on the mind and its affects can be short or long term. Working together in therapy, we can explore some therapy tools to manage how you relate to life stresses and therefore work towards reducing mental health affects.

By taking the next step into your counselling journey with me you will enter into a confidential and empathetic experience where you are in control of your session. My role is to facilitate you as you explore your thought processes and through the use of counselling skills and tools you can apply it to yourself and start to feel grounded within. I practice with an integrative psychodynamic and CBT modality, meaning that I use counselling skills across the psychological therapeutic practices. I am MBACP skilled and trained to a high professional standard while recognising that I have to continue to improve upon my professional skills and learning where possible.

I have been giving therapy sessions for 5 years and have worked in charities and educational institutions and I do online therapy with an American owned platform here in the UK.  
If you are new to therapy or want to have a relaxed chat then we can arrange for a free 20 minutes consultation by video call. 

A full session is 50 minutes each and usually weekly for regular check in and time between sessions to reflect and work on yourself using practice skills. 
I take necessary time getting to know the background of my clients and with empathy learn about their significant life events that they may have experienced so I do not rush the process to get into the working issues until the client is ready to trust me. 








The online sessions will be via Google Meet/MS Teams

First Session
We look first at a method of working together, for example there is agreement of what you want to see in fair practice and respect towards each other for the duration of therapy. There will be issues brought into sessions to talk about and explore in depth throughout the therapeutic processes. Knowing there is a working contract we can be respectful that normal life can enter into the therapeutic space at times and trying to limit external interference as much as possible is important. We will introduce the boundaries in the first session that sets out our working together. Paperwork can be completed and any questions about the process can be explored during this 50 minutes.  

Therapy Sessions
All sessions are 50 minutes you can choose to have 6 or 8 sessions with a review of your therapy experience half way into your treatment. 
Sessions are currently all online via Google Meet/Teams through a secure invitation link sent to you 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. Please join at the time of your booking as late joining cannot be refunded. For therapy purposes only your contact details, GP and emergency contact has to be kept securely on record for 7 years and stored in accordance to GDPR guidelines, this is given with your permission for treatment.
