Hello My name is Aruna Ramkalowon. I am a qualified therapist since 2018 and MBACP Registered.
Anyone can experience difficulties in life and if you have issues that you want to explore confidentially, therapy is a safe space without judgement. Some issues can weigh on the mind and its affects can be short or long term. Working together in therapy, we can explore some therapy tools to manage how you relate to life stresses and therefore work towards reducing mental health affects.
By taking the next step into your counselling journey with me you will enter into a confidential and empathetic experience where you are in control of your session. My role is to facilitate you as you explore your thought processes and through the use of counselling skills and tools you can apply it to yourself and start to feel grounded within. I practice with an integrative psychodynamic and CBT modality, meaning that I use counselling skills across the psychological therapeutic practices. I am MBACP skilled and trained to a high professional standard while recognising that I have to continue to improve upon my professional skills and learning where possible.
I have been giving therapy sessions for 5 years and have worked in charities and educational institutions and I do online therapy with an American owned platform here in the UK.

A full session is 50 minutes each and usually weekly for regular check in and time between sessions to reflect and work on yourself using practice skills.
I take necessary time getting to know the background of my clients and with empathy learn about their significant life events that they may have experienced so I do not rush the process to get into the working issues until the client is ready to trust me.
